Is the University of Detroit-- Dearborn a good school?

Is the University of Detroit-- Dearborn a good school?
I am looking at graduate schools in Michigan (will be working near Detroit after graduation) and Umich Dearborn is closest to my place of employment, but I don't know much about the school. Is it an academically strong school? Is it located in a safe neighborhood? Any info appreciated. sorry that should be University of Michigan

I'm not sure U of M Dearborn offers advanced degrees, maybe they do and I've just never heard of it ... anyway, your question is about safety and the strength of the school. You could not get any safer than if you were wrapped in kelvar. Safe, very safe. Strength ... like I said, I don't know about U of M Dearborn, but generally speaking some schools are stronger in certain areas than others. Engineering? Medicine? ... Film school? Chinese literature? really, now.

Ive heard and seen how U of M-Dearborn is fantastic its smaller and more intimate than its Ann Arbor namesake its diverse culturally , the classes are smaller , the instructors know your name and who you are long after you've taken their class, it very safe and academically strong

University of Michigan Dearborn is a good school, especially since it carries the U of M name. It is small, in a busy and safe location. But like I said, it's small. You will be limited to graduate programs because it is such a small scale school. Try looking into Wayne State University as well so you have more options. WSU is only 15min east of U of M Dearborn, so it's pretty close. But both are extremely diverse and both are great schools.
