a lot of parents of children with down syndrome are mainstreaming the kids into regular classes with the help of teacher's aides....is this not an option in your situation? if not...contact your counties department of health and family services they should be able to help you get in contact with a school in your area, if there is one. in Wisconsin we have lakeland school, which is a special needs school. Our school district would have provided the transportation since it is 25 miles from our home, but in our case we opted to send our son to regular school. he is now in an early intervention program in our kindergarten school and doing fantastic! I hope all works out for you!
