I'm thinking about visiting my friend in Detroit, Michigan.?
My buddy lives on the East side of Detroit. I think the name of the street is Warren Avenue. He goes to Finney High School, and he is a senior. We went to grade school together. I'm curious what there is to in that area? Does anyone know the area. Is Detroit fun? I'm 18, and I can't drink. He said the East side of Detroit is fun, and it has entertaining things to do. He also told me that the neighborhoods on the Northeast side of Detroit are really underrated, and there isn't as many burnt out homes as the lower east side. Anyone live on the east side? What are happening spots?

Bell Aisle is fun. Downtown has Tigers and Lions and things to do.

You will actually feel very threatened living in the downtown, or East side... Best you get over to Windsor or to Belle isle for at least a little greenery. Detroit is arguably the most intensely dangerous part of the US.

For your age, to the east of Detroit is St Claire Shores. There are a lot of fun places to go to up there and depending what you like to do, there are many options. You can also go north of the city to Ferndale or Royal Oak. There are some teen clubs up that way that you would probably enjoy.

Downtown is always fun but there is skateland on Alter road. Renaissance Bowling Center on Woodward. The Magic Stick pool hall on Woodward. Belle Isle isn't that far from Warren Ave so that would also be nice. Plenty of 18 and up clubs downtown from St. Andrews to the Good Life Lounge. It just depends on what you want to do. Check out the Metro Times website for things to do around the city. If your into Gospel music there are always a lot of musicals and concerts check out detroitgospel.com look at the calendar for shows coming up. Detroit isn't as bad as some try to make it seem. It has problems like any other city. If you want to find trouble you will but usually if you're looking for fun it's not hard to find. And while your here check out Pizza Papolis in greektown. They have the best pizza in the world!!!
