Well, I live near detroit,michigan and my school district is open on martin luther king day.The tempurature tonight is supposed to be -1 degrees with wind chill -10 to -20 will we have a snow day due to the cold weather? I live in Northville,Michigan and we don't celebrate mlk day.

You need to get them to observe MLK Day!! You live near Detroit and no MLK day? Anyways...sometimes they will call off school if the weather is that adverse.

From rural Central Mich. Near Cadillac. Call your school's office, they may have a recording about school closings. Call your local TV stations. Schools usually close because of snow not temp. It's -11 here and schools will not close.
